Floating Angel

Hey there!!  Back to share my first Christmas project of the year...can you believe it's that time already?  Well..let's get going!!!  This project uses our new set MC-34 (You're an Angel)...along with some of our other stamps.  The angel wings, halo and stars are from MC-34...Buddy is from MC-5 (So Sweet)...cloud is from CL-2 (Happy Thoughts) and the greeting is from MC-33 (Merry Christmas).  Here's the pattern.  I don't know if you can really tell from the photo, but this angel appears to be floating above the little stand:

Here are the steps to prepare (l to r, below):  cut a 1/2" x  4" piece of acetate (fold 1" from the top) and apply double stick tape to top and bottom edges...attach acetate piece to back of your angel (with fold close to the top of the head)...apply half a foam dot to the wings and fold both wings back a little to give more dimension...attach wings to angel.

Cut pattern along solid lines and fold along dotted lines...cut a slit as indicated by bold solid line.  Apply double stick tape to the 1/4" tab and attach as shown below, left.  Insert acetate piece into the slot (I removed the angel so you can see better).  Before taping the top tab down..adjust the acetate piece according to the weight of your image...when you get your image positioned at the right height...tape down the acetate and the top flap (below, right).  Decorate with ribbon and greeting.

I love to create stamps that can work beyond the holidays:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!
