It's Time for Easter!!!

Happy Leap Day everyone!!! Boy, the year is flying by...Girl's Day is already this Saturday...and next up is Easter. This year I have 2 new cling sets for Easter. Both sets come with an "extra hand" stamp to hold a bunch of Easter's the first set:

and the second set:

If you're wondering about the boxes, you can click here to get a pattern for both the carrot box and the jellybean box. They're both pretty simple to make...just cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. Use double stick tape on the 4 tabs. Here are a few pointers:

First I cut out my pattern...then I trace the outlines of the pattern with a pencil onto my card stock, as shown above. Before moving the pattern, I take a craft knife and cut through both the pattern and the paper at the 4 highlighted areas.

Then, to mark the horizontal fold lines...I line up the pattern with the traced outlines...then I place a ruler along the dotted lines of the pattern and use a pencil to continue that line across the other pieces.

Cut the carrot top out of a contrasting paper and glue to the carrot. The picture above shows you how the inside of the box looks. Just enough to fit a few small candies, or other tiny gifts.

Hope to be back with one more Girl's Day project...

Trifold Cards

I had some fun today playing with a pattern from awhile here to get back to the original post with the pattern and directions. The stamp I used for this first Girl's Day card is our new cling stamp, MC-17 (Girl's Day)...I cut out each girl separately so I could get one for each panel. The flower stamp I used to decorate the card is #5032 (Solid Flower1).

Here's what the card looks like when it's folded:

And here's one for Easter:

Stamps used: #1203 (Chick on Egg), #1204 (Chick with Tulip), #1205 (Chick with Jellybean),
#1206 (Jellybean), #1211 (Jellybean), #1211 (Easter Hello), #1212 (Easter Egg 1), #1213 (Easter Egg 2). Thanks for taking a peek today!!!

A New Stamp for Girl's Day

Girl's Day is just around the corner on March, here is our new Girl's Day stamp for this year:

If your interested in making this box, click here to get a pattern. Cut along solid lines and fold along dotted lines. Apply double stick tape to all tabs. Cut out a 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" piece of acetate, and apply double stick tape to all 4 edges (this will be the "window"):

Next, fold the piece on the right to form the box bottom...stick the piece of acetate to the backside of the piece on the left:

Place in the box bottom on the other piece:

Wrap the outer piece around the box bottom (snugly, but with enough room for the box to slide) and secure with double stick tape. Punch a 1/8" hole in the side of the box bottom and tie a piece of ribbon as shown:

Slip the ribbon through the hole for a "drawer pull"...and decorate your box...that's it!!!

Here's a look at the set:

As you can see...the "Girl's Day" words are separate stamps, so you can use the girls all year round...simply stamp them alone...or add other small stamps:

Stamps used: Sakura background (CL-8 Friends)
Tiny Sakura (CL-11 Keiko)
To, From (Stamp #6023)

Thanks for stopping by today!!!

This Time With a Real Cupcake

Hi!!! Back again with a real cupcake...same idea as yesterday's post, but this time I got a red velvet cupcake from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I love how they package it in a plastic cup...I just added a decorated strip along the bottom (resting in the lip of the lid)...instant party favor!!!

Also, I wanted to share with you a card that Lianne (Cute Stuff) made. She was inspired by Patti's card and created this adorable card using Keiko (CL-11):

Pull the panel with Keiko to the right to reveal "arigato" (CL-11):

Open the next flap...instead of revealing a gift of money, Lianne added another sentiment (Stamp #C148 - Extra Special):

Soooo cute!!! I love how the flowers in her hair match her kimono!!! Thanks for sharing your card, Lianne!!

Hope you all have a great weekend!!! Stop by next week to see our new stamp for Girl's Day!!!
