Valentine's Day is coming up fast!! If you're short on time...here's a quick idea!! You can make a whole bunch in one night...a sweet little Valentine wish!
Just punch out a bunch of scalloped hearts (Marvy - blue punch)...stick to the back of the lollipops with double stick tape. Stamp, color and cut a bunch of different images and stick to the front of the lollipop with a pop dot...tie a ribbon and you're done!!! (You can also write a note on the back of the heart).
I also wanted to share this adorable card I received from Teri (Big Ideas From a Little Girl) using stamp #B102 (Max with Cupcake). Teri always comes up with the cutest creations (as most of you already know!!)...thanks, Teri!!

Ben Franklin Make 'n Take
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Ben Franklin Make 'n Take today!! We did a simple sachet project that I'd like to share with you:
The theme was "Pretty in Pink" to benefit the American Cancer Society...so, I made these little sachets using 2" x 2" glassine envelopes (filled with pink scented "beads"). I looped an 8" piece of pink ribbon and put some double stick tape on the back of the ribbon to hold it in place on the envelope until I could staple it down. Then I used stamp #3018 (Ribbon) along with various animal stamps. To make it look like the animal is holding the ribbon...simply stamp the ribbon stamp in pink, put a mask over it, then stamp the animal with it's hand over the masked ribbon. I punched the stamped image out with a Marvy (yellow) scalloped oval punch and glued it on a heart (punched with a blue Marvy heart punch). Mount the heart on the sachet with a pop dot. Of course, you can always adapt this idea for any occasion...like Valentine's Day:
wedding showers:
or any occasion, really! Hope you have time to stamp this weekend!!!

A Valentine Card

For the Cutesy Romantic
Just a quick idea for making your Valentine's Day (or any other day) just a little more special:
I picked up this candle ring and BATTERY OPERATED candle (Please note: this idea is for battery operated candles ONLY...please do not use with real candles/flames for safety's sake!!) at BenFranklin. All I had to do was cut a 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" piece of vellum...and stamp my images along the top border. Color images in from the backside of the vellum for a more muted look. Roll the vellum into a tube (and secure with double stick tape). Then simply put the decorated vellum tube into the candle ring and put the candle inside the vellum tube. Easy!!!
Stamps used: #4022 (Solid Heart), #5030 (Scattered Flowers) and #5008 (Ladybug With Flower). Here's a picture of it with the candle turned on:
thanks for stopping by today!!

A Valentine Treat
Valentine's Day is coming up fast and it's time to get serious about planning for this special day! With all the hectic schedules, I'm sure "simple" sounds like a good idea to most. With that in mind, here's a quick and simple pouch made to fit the "fun size" candies. Click here to download a pattern. Just cut along the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines. Use double stick tape along the two 1/4" tabs and simply adhere to form this pouch:
I was able to find these paper clips at Office Depot...the colored tabs come already attached!! All I had to do was stamp my sentiment (stamp #5029 Floral Heart and #1109 Valentine Hi), and add my two peeking pals (#5043 Peeking Monkey and #5053 Peeking Penguin) on pop dots, put some candy in the pouch and put the clip on. I also added an accent to the bottom of the pouch using stamp #6004 (Funky Flower with a bling!!!).
Here's a close-up of the tabs:
If you're free this Saturday (January 24), I'll be doing a make 'n take at the Kaimuki Ben Franklin from 1:00 - 2:30 pm. The theme is "Pretty in Pink", to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation...stop by and support a good cause!!

3 Winners!!
Congratulations to Glenda, Teri and Denise...the 3 winners of the calendar/notepads!!!! Ladies, please email me (dandelion.designs@hawaiiantel.net) with your addresses so I can mail these out to you!! Thanks to everyone for entering!!! There will be more fun on the way!! Until then, here's a little Valentine's Day card I'd like to share:
I used a 3" x 6" cardstock...folded in half to make a 3" x 3" card. Then I cut the front cover of the card as shown below:
Also, note the 1/8" hole punched into both layers of the card (this is where you will thread the ribbon to tie a bow). I used a Marvy (blue) heart punch...I glued the cat and dog hearts to the front of the card and the "Happy Valentine's" heart to the inside of the back panel. Stamps used: #1104 (Dog with Heart), #1105 (Cat with Roses) and #1108 (Happy Valentine's Day).
One month until Valentine's Day!!!

I realize it's almost the middle of January...but, since this is my first post of the year I wanted to take the time and wish everyone a Happy New Year!!!! The past month has been a blur...with the holidays and taking care of the "business" side of the business. I've finally caught up on things and have time for some fun!!! Can't think of a better way to start the year off than with a giveaway. Here are a few mini calendars I made that I would like to share with 3 lucky winners:
Stamps used: #C105 (Maddy & Tweet) and #6005 (Cherish).
Stamps used: #B102 (Max With Cupcake) and #5059 (You're Sweet).
Stamps used: #B101 (Maddy at the Beach) and #6001 (Fun in the Sun).
Here's a peek of what the insides look like:
There's a notepad and a 2009 calendar. Here's the deal...leave me a comment by midnight (Hawaii time) tomorrow (January 13)...and I'll pick 3 winners at random and announce their names on Wednesday, January 14. Good luck to all and please be sure to check back to see if you won!!! I have a lot of new things coming out throughout the year...it should be a lot of fun!!! Thanks for stopping by!
