Feeling Wishy Washy

When I started working on a project today, I knew I wanted to use my trio of mouse stamps along with the trio of word stamps "Be Happy", "Have Fun" and "Laugh Out Loud". I also knew I wanted to punch out circles and glue them onto an acetate backing so they would look like they're floating in air. I just couldn't decide on a project...first I did a gift box/container:

But, that turned out a little too big...I wouldn't be able to scan the pattern on my scanner...so then I thought...maybe a smaller box with the punch outs going around the container instead of up one side:

oooh...maybe I could use it as a candle holder!!! (Please use with battery operated candles ONLY!!!). If you want the pattern for this box...click here. Uhhh...maybe gift cards!!!

In the end, I couldn't decide...so I just posted all of them!!

Stamps used: #1101 (Mouse on Balloon), #1102 (Mouse With Rose), #1103 (Happy Mouse), #5048 (Be Happy), #5049 (Have Fun), #5055 (Laugh Out Loud) and #5030 (Scattered Flowers). Thanks for stopping by!!!

Happily Ever After

I picked up this frame at Ben Franklin a little while ago...it's sold as a wedding placecard, but I decided to make it into a picture frame:

I don't know if you can really see it, but I used Stickles to glitter-up the bride...from her tiara, down to her shoes!!! The flowers are from All Natural Accents. Now that I've made it, I realize that I don't know anyone getting married soon!! If you can make use of this frame please leave me a comment by midnight tomorrow, July 24 and I'll pick one person to get this frame. (FYI...it's a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" frame.)

Stamps used: #B107 (Ever After), #C102 (Wedded Bliss) and #5004 (Rosebud).

Stopping By To Say Hi

Just a quick post today to say Hi!!

I cut out just the top part of Maddy (from the Maddy & Pip stamp) and glued it down on the bottom (under the flowers) and put a pop dot under her head to make it look like she's popping out of the flowers. I also hung a funky flower from a jump ring.

Stamps used: #6004 (Funky Flower), #B124 (Just Me) and #C104 (Maddy & Pip).

Hope you're all having a really good summer...isn't it just flying by?

One More Cupcake

While I'm on a cupcake kick....thought I'd make a quick cupcake card:

I used a 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" cardstock, crimped and scored at 2" and 5"...topped with a swirl of icing cut out of "Sprinkles" paper (from Doodlebug) and closed with velcro. Super simple!! Wouldn't this be cute as a birthday party invitation? Stamps used: #B102 (Max With Cupcake) and #A105 (It's Your Birthday).

I also wanted to share this card from Joni:

Isn't that just the cutest? The card hinges on the top to reveal a message inside!! So clever!! Thanks, Joni!!!

Hope to find some stamping time soon...until then!!!

A Cupcake Favor

Hope you all had a very Happy 4th of July!! I'm still working on my pile of scrap paper and came up with a remake of a favor idea I had previously posted. My original project was for a little purse to hold one of those chocolate nuggets. I thought it might be cute to take that same idea, but make it into a cupcake purse like this:

There's a VERY simple pattern that you can download here. Cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. Here's a shot of the pieces:

As you can see, I ran the rectangular piece through a crimper so that it looks like a baking cup. I used double stick tape to attach the ribbon handle along the top crease. I also glued the "frosting" to the top flap of the purse. Velcro was used to keep the purse flap closed. I topped the whole thing off with stamp #4010 (Cherries). Here's a view from the side so you can see the candy taped to the bottom:

The pattern that I am providing makes the pink cupcake purse...I played around with the height of the pattern to make the blue and lavender purses. Hope you can give this one a try...it's super fast and easy!!

Guess Who?

**Note** The pattern for the gift card on the "Meet Catnip" post was not printing out to the true size...the problem has been corrected. Sorry if any of you tried it and had problems with it!!!

Phew!! Made it just in time for a post today!!! Next in line of our new designs is Peeking Hoot (of Hoot & Annie fame):

Pull the insert piece up and a message appears:

Click here for a pattern. As usual, cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. There are four pattern pieces for this project, plus the actual card. For the card...cut a piece of cardstock to 6" x 6" and fold in half to make a 3" x 6" card.

There are 3 pieces that make the front of the card...I cut them out of 3 different, coordinating papers. Cut a hole in the middle of the top 2 pieces (you can use a yellow Marvy circle punch if you have one). Line the 3 pieces up (as shown below) and tape together from the backside:

Apply double stick tape to all the tabs. The last piece is the insert piece...put the insert piece into the piece you just taped together, fitting it between the tabs. It should look like this:

Remove the backing from the double stick tape and attach to the card. To add Hoot and the sentiment to the card...punch more circles with a yellow Marvy circle punch. Glue stamped, colored and cut image of Hoot onto one circle...stamp the sentiment on another circle and leave one circle blank. The best way to position these decorated circles onto the insert piece is to flip the card over and fit each circle right through the punched holes on the front. Here's a picture of the insert piece so you can get a better idea of what I'm doing:

Once you've done that, you can stamp another sentiment on the inside of the card:

Here are the stamps I'm giving away today:

The Hoot & Annie stamp is not new, but it just went too perfectly with the others to leave it out!! If you would like to win these stamps, leave me a comment by midnight on Saturday, June 27...and I'll announce a winner on Sunday, June 28. Tell me a silly fact about yourself. Me? My left ankle clicks when I walk down stairs...so, you'll hear step, click, step, click... ha! ha! Have fun and good luck to all!!!

Today's Winner Is...

Kris!!! Congratulations, Kris....you're the winner of the Elliot stamps!!! Please send your address to me at dandelion.designs@hawaiiantel.net, and I'll send the stamps out to you!!! Thank you to all of you who entered...I swear I could hear the ahhhhhs as I read each of your comments!!! (Now remember to make time to do those things you wrote about!!!)

I'll be back later on today to do another giveaway. Also, I'll post all the new designs to our website by the end of today, so please be sure to check back for that!!! Have a great day!!!
