A Wreath Card

Good Morning!!! And a special "Aloha Y'all" to one of my faithful readers, Linda in San Antonio!! I don't know where all the time has gone...but Halloween came and went...hope you all had a very fun time!!! That means the holidays are just around the corner!!! Maybe if we get started early, things won't get so crazy and we can take time to enjoy the season!!!

Here's a Christmas wreath card I'd like to share (don't worry...I won't forget about Thanksgiving...that's coming soon!!):

I know the colors and paper are not very traditional...but, it's fun to change things up a bit now and then!! All I did was punch out a circle (I used a blue Marvy circle punch)...then I punched out 16 holes (right around the edge of the circle) with my 1/8" hole punch. Then tie simple knots with little strips of ribbon. It looks more like a wreath IRL because you can see more of the dimension.

I'd also like to share some things I received in the mail...the first is THE most adorable ornament from sweet craf-tea chick... check out her blog and see some of her other creative creations!!! She was the winner of one of my giveaways and made this ornament with the stamps she won:

The next is a beautiful bookmark from Deana in Ashland, Oregon!!! Such talent!!! Thanks, Deana...it's already marking my place in the book I'm reading now...and it makes me smile every time I look at it!!!

ok...that's it for today...hope to be back soon with more!!!

Ben Franklin Paper Party

Happy Monday morning!! Hope you all had a good weekend!! This past Saturday I did a make 'n take at the Pearl City Ben Franklin. There were games, prizes and a bunch of make 'n takes going on...lots of fun!!! Here's the project I did:

To make these simple favors, I started with a 3" x 3" piece of cardstock. Make a scored line at 3/4" on each side. Also, make a diagonal scored line in each corner square (as shown below):

Next, fold along scored lines (folding each corner outward). Using a 1/8" hole punch, punch a hole in each corner (close to the scored line). Thread a piece of ribbon through the holes in each corner and tie a double knot to form a box. Simple!!

To decorate, stamp your image on white and punch out with a Marvy (blue) oval punch. Punch 2 pieces of colored cardstock with a Marvy (pink) scalloped oval punch. Color in your image and glue to one of the scalloped ovals. Glue this piece to the inside of the box (as shown above).

Glue the remaining scalloped oval to the back of the box. Then just fill with your favorite treat!!!

Stamps used: #5052 (Koala), #4017 (Script Thank You), #5036 (Little Monkey), #6012 (just Because) and #C118 (Baxter).

Cheryl was at the paper party too and look at the goodies she brought to share with me:

Oooh...what fun!! More things to play with!!! Isn't the card she made using Catnip (stamp #B127) sooo cute? Hop on over to Cheryl's blog to see the cute make 'n take she did!!! Thanks, Cheryl!!

Thanks also to Cami, who stopped by to say hi and bring snacks too!!! So sweet!! Thank you, Cami!!!

One more thing to share. It's a long-distance RAK from Edna. Edna is originally from Hawaii, but now works at Pacific University in Oregon. Here is a thank you gift they made for their Hawaiian Club luau (using a lot of Dandelion stamps!!):

EVERY page was decorated...that's a LOT of stamping!! The effort was well worth it though, because it came out beautiful!!!

ok...that's it for today!! Thanks for stopping by...come back and visit soon!!

Hi There...

It's been a while...can't believe a whole week has gone by since my last post. A little late, but I hope you all had a very happy Easter!! Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see one last Easter goody I received from Carole ( a good idea to remember for next year!!!).

Here's a little project for today:

Very simple!! All you need is shown in the photo below:

2 scalloped circles (punched with a pink Marvy punch), a silk flower and a strip of coordinating paper (3/8" x 1-1/2"...fold this strip in half and apply double stick tape). To make the card...match up the two circles. Use a glue dot to attach the flower to the front of the card. Use the strip of coordinating paper as the "fold" of the card...attaching one half to the back and one half to the front (over the flower stem).

Stamp used: #C105 (Maddy & Tweet).

Now, here's a look at that cute Easter treat (Thanks, Carole!!!):

ok...that's it for now!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Is It Thursday Already?

Hi!! I've been so swamped this week, I haven't had a chance to stamp at all!! So, I'll cheat a little and share a few projects that others have made with Dandelion stamps! This first card is from Janet...all the way from Michigan. Such a sweet card...don't you like the way she used black with the pastel colors?

The next two are both Easter treats I've seen on other blogs. The first one is made by Enjoli (Stamping Under the Sun), and the second is by Cheryl (Life is Sweet). Both are really cute and make you want to stamp right now!!!! Hope you can find some time!!!

By the way...I'll be doing a make 'n take at Ben Franklin (Mapunapuna) this Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 - 12:00. We'll be doing a really simple and cute project shared with me by Jenny, the store manager at Ben Franklin. Stop by if you're in the area!!

Hoot & Annie

I'm so excited to be able to share my new designs with you!! Are you ready? My first new stamp is "Hoot & Annie"...these two are as close as two friends can be, and that friendship is summed up in my next new stamp, "Owl Always Be Your Friend".

Those two pink flowers are made with stamp #5032 (Solid Flower 1). I stamped it with pink ink, cut it out and glued a rhinestone in the center. Then I put glue just in the center and pulled the petals up to make it look 3-D. Now to celebrate this new release, I'm giving away the stamps to make this card (plus the card!!):

To enter...just leave me a post by midnight tomorrow, February 6 (Hawaii time)...tell me something special about one of your friends that you could send this card to. I'll pick one winner at random and announce their name on Saturday, February 7 (so, be sure to check back!!!).

Oh...one more card to share:

This is from Yuki, owner of Little Craft House. Isn't this the sweetest card? She used Dandelion stamp # A101 (Buddy). You can check out Yuki's on-line store by clicking here. Maybe pick up one of these "Buddy" stamps?

Ok...that's all for today...don't forget to enter the drawing...good luck to all!!!

A Valentine and Some Cards To Share

Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend!! I've been a little under the weather this week and I'm slowly trying to get back into the groove. Usually when I have to re-start my creative engines, I like to do a 3x3 card...it's such a cute size that almost anything works! Here I'm using stamp #1102 (Mouse With Rose) and #1108 (Happy Valentine's Day):

I'd also like to share some some cards I've received. I love to see what other people do with Dandelion stamps...it always inspires me!! Here's a card I received from Glenda using stamp #3017 (Sunflower Thanks)....so cute, huh? She also sent those puffy butterflies...thanks, Glenda!!

And this next one is from Roberta:

The blue clip uses stamp #5053 (Peeking Penguin) and the card uses stamp #1013 (Japanese Girl) and #1031 (Arigato). Look at what she does when you open the card:

So creative!!! She even did some kind of origami fold for the kimono (click on the photo for a closer look). Thank you, Roberta!!! If you've made something cute using Dandelion Design stamps, I would love to see it and share it with everyone...you can send your creations to Dandelion Designs, P.O. Box 61643, Honolulu, Hawaii 96839. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Valentine Lollipops

Valentine's Day is coming up fast!! If you're short on time...here's a quick idea!! You can make a whole bunch in one night...a sweet little Valentine wish!

Just punch out a bunch of scalloped hearts (Marvy - blue punch)...stick to the back of the lollipops with double stick tape. Stamp, color and cut a bunch of different images and stick to the front of the lollipop with a pop dot...tie a ribbon and you're done!!! (You can also write a note on the back of the heart).

I also wanted to share this adorable card I received from Teri (Big Ideas From a Little Girl) using stamp #B102 (Max with Cupcake). Teri always comes up with the cutest creations (as most of you already know!!)...thanks, Teri!!

A Remake and RAK

Gift cards are a great present for Christmas time...it saves the giver some time and the receiver can get what they want. I was thinking of ways to give a gift card and thought about doing a remake of a card I originally posted on July 13. You can take a look at the card and see the instructions by clicking here. To make this gift card holder, I followed the same procedure...I just changed the dimensions of the card. The CARD measures 4" x 12". I made scored lines at 3-1/4", 6-1/2" and 9-1/4"" from the right edge of the card. The POCKET piece measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/2"...make a 1/4" score line along the 2 short ends and along 1 long edge.

Instead of stamping a greeting, tape your gift card on...then when you open the card, your gift card will slide up!!!

I'll show you another remake tomorrow!! I also wanted to share an RAK I received from Denise:

What a total surprise this was!!! So thoughtful and generous!!! You can check out Denise's creations on her blog, Denise Loves Stamps. Thank you so much, Denise!!!
