Spring!

Here's "Spring" from our newest set, Sesaons (MC-63).  I just learned how to make an origami easter basket (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GBfBGnoZGL8).  It took me three tries to get the hang of it, but once you get it it's not too hard to make :)

Beach-y Favors

Hope you're all having a great summer!!!  Can't believe how quickly it's going by!!!  Here's an idea for your next beach-related gathering:

I ran across these little "portion cups" while browsing through the aisles of Longs and immediately thought of our bucket stamp...then on the next day I found some craft bags of sand at Ben Franklin...perfect!!

Click here to get a pattern for the insert to make your beach bucket more cheerful and summery.  Cut 4-1/2" strips for the handle.

Attach handles with colorful brads!!
(Note to self:  remember these next spring for Easter baskets)

Fill with some wrapped candies.  Wrapped is probably better to keep them protected...nothing worse than eating sand!! :p

Matching Treats

I liked the color combination on my earlier card so much, that I made some matching treat holders.  Click here for a pattern.

Unfinished Business

After posting the carrot favor project the other day, I knew I had to make a stand for it.  Just laying it on the table would not work...there were candies rolling everywhere!!  So, here's a pattern to keep your carrots upright and your candies in place.  Ahhh...much better!!

Cut the pattern along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines.  Apply double stick tape to 7 tabs and fold into stand:

Hope you give it a try...thanks for stopping by!!

One Last One for the Weekend...

Thought I'd post one last project for the weekend...sometimes once the week gets going, there's just not enough stamping time!!  Anyway...this one is really fast and easy:

Start with a square piece of paper...this one is 4" x 4", but you can adjust it to any size you want.  Cut a contrasting piece and glue it on to the top corner:

Cut the top to form leaves and put a [piece of double stick tape down one side.  Form into a cone and seal.

I decorated it with a tag using a heart stamp from MC-15 (Fuzzy Bear 1) and flower stamps # 5002 (Flower), 5004 (Rosebud) and 5006 (Daisy).

See?  Told you it was fast and easy!!  Have a really good week everyone!!

Easter Baskets

Spring is just around the corner and why not get a jump on cute little favors for the season...

All the stamps used for these baskets are from CL-18 (Happy Easter) and CL-19 (Happy Spring)

Use the "extra hand stamp" to make them peek over the edge of the basket!!

Click here to get a pattern for the basket (I put 2 patterns on one page in case you want to print it out on an 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of paper). Cut out as shown below, left.  Make sure you cut down to the bottom of each side of the basket (shown in pink)...and score at 4 places (shown in yellow).  Fold as shown below, right and adhere sides with double stick tape on 4 tabs.

I know we associate bunnies and spring/Easter...but the card below (made by the clever, Erin) shows that you can really use them for any occasion!!!

Hope you have a great weekend...with lots of time to stamp!!!

For Easter and Beyond...

Did that sound a little Buzz Lightyear-ish?  Anyway...I wanted to share with you the pattern that comes in cling set CL-5 (Happy Easter).  It's an egg box:

Lift the cover...and a surprise pops out:

Ta-daaa!!

Here's the "beyond" part...simply replace the 2 egg pattern pieces with a cover piece (measuring 1-1/4" x 2-3/4") and a bottom piece (measuring 2" x 2-1/2")...and you've got a box that you could use for any occasion:

Stamps used:  Bunny, chick and Egg stamps (as well as box pattern and instructions) are from CL-5 (Happy Easter)
#A120 (Honey Bunny)
Heart stamp is from CL-13 (Bear Hugs)
Henry the Hedgehog and tag stamp are from CL-9 (Hello)
Heart Border stamp is from CL-4 (Lots of Love)
"Happy Wishes" sentiment is from CL-1 (Happy Wishes)
Rose stamp is from MC-1 (Friend to Friend)
