A Last Minute Idea
How did Valentine's Day sneak up on us so quickly? In case you're a last minute crafter (I know you're out there)...here's a quick idea. Click here for the pattern.
This first one uses stamp #C132 (Hugs) and the sentiment "Hugs" is from MC-16 (Fuzzy Bear 2). To start, cut out 2 pattern pieces along solid lines. Apply double stick tape to the backside of each piece, as shown below...also, cut out a 3-3/4" (h) x 5-5/8" (w) piece of cellophane (I didn't have any on hand, so I cut up a food storage bag and that worked out well too):
Remove the backing paper from the double stick tape on the curved edge of each piece (leaving the straight-edged tape in place, for now). Set the top and bottom piece in a desired spacing (you can make it a little shorter or taller depending on what's going inside). Adhere the cellophane piece as shown below:
Fold tabs along dotted lines and put a strip of double stick tape on the tab:
Fold in half and secure tab along side:
Remove tape backing along bottom edge, adhere and crimp...insert your goodies and then do the same to top edge...then decorate!! If you don't have time to do this idea for Valentine's, it can always carry over to other occasions:
SC-5 (Small Aiko)
Roses and "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment from CL-14 (Roses)
Snake and "Year of the Snake" sentiment from MC-37 (Year of the Snake).

Birdhouse Valentine
Remember the gingerbread house from this past Christmas? Click here to refresh your memory. I used the same pattern (with a few tweaks) to make a Valentine birdhouse. The only things I did differently was to cut out a heart-shaped opening...and I added a perch by punching a 1/8" hole beneath the heart opening, then rolling up a piece of paper and gluing it into the hole.
Stamps Used: #6015 (Tweetheart), #5002 (Flower), #5004 (Rosebud), #5006 (Daisy)
Heart and wording - MC-15 (Fuzzy Bear 1)
Have a great night!!

A Belated Happy New Year!!
Hi there...well the new year is not so new anymore...but I would like to take this time to wish you all the best as we begin 2013!! I'm sure there will be a lot of fun crafting ahead of us this year!! Let's start with a few "Valentine-y" favors (could really be used for anything). I've combined stamps from CL-13 (Bear Hugs) and CL-14 (Roses), along with a pattern I previously posted here.
Use the "extra hand" stamp to make the bear pop out from behind the roses!!
I also used the pattern that's included in CL-14 (Roses) to make a wedding box. Bride and Groom stamp is #C-102 (Wedded Bliss):
Instead of wrapping a gift in tissue, I thought it would be cute to line the bottom with flowers:

This Time With a Real Cupcake
Hi!!! Back again with a real cupcake...same idea as yesterday's post, but this time I got a red velvet cupcake from The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. I love how they package it in a plastic cup...I just added a decorated strip along the bottom (resting in the lip of the lid)...instant party favor!!!

Also, I wanted to share with you a card that Lianne (Cute Stuff) made. She was inspired by Patti's card and created this adorable card using Keiko (CL-11):

Pull the panel with Keiko to the right to reveal "arigato" (CL-11):

Open the next flap...instead of revealing a gift of money, Lianne added another sentiment (Stamp #C148 - Extra Special):

Soooo cute!!! I love how the flowers in her hair match her kimono!!! Thanks for sharing your card, Lianne!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!! Stop by next week to see our new stamp for Girl's Day!!!

Easel Box Revisited
I went back to a pattern I posted awhile ago to make these easel boxes...I changed them up a little...here's one for Valentine's Day using Keiko (MC-11 Keiko cling set)...the heart and sentiment are from MC-15 (Fuzzy Bear 1)...and the heart border is from CL-4 (Lots of Love cling set):

Here's what it looks like opened:

Click here to get back to the article with the pattern and instructions. Here's another box using Elliot...just add a mini (1-1/2" x 1-3/4") calendar and you have a handy desktop caddy:

Elliot and banner stamps are from MC-4 (Happy Hello cling set). Thanks for stopping by!!!

Fuzzy Bears
Hi!! Hope you all enjoyed your holidays and that your new year is off to a great start!!!! Just wanted to share our 2 newest cling sets for Valentine's...

Both sets come with an "extra hand" (paw) stamp that allows the bears to hold all kinds of things. Mix and match the stamps to come up with a variety of combinations.

Haven't had a chance to do much stamping with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays...looking forward to getting back into the groove!!

Lots of Love
Good Wednesday morning!! I'm back to share my next project, which comes in the "Lots of Love" cling set...it's a simple heart pouch that you can fill with little treats:

The pattern and instructions to make this project are included in the "Lots of Love" cling set shown below:

Just for fun, I added a ribbon to turn it into a heart purse:

Sorry for the short posts...but, the best way for me to keep up with this blog is to post pictures and run...hope you enjoy looking!!!
