Catching up...

Hope you're all having a great weekend...just wanted to stop by and share a few projects...

The first are some "dog tags".  I cut out my own heart shapes to make a stencil.  Then used some distress inks to make the backgrounds for these tags.

Stamps used:  Corgi (#6079), Dachshund (#6080), Beagle (#6083), Chihuahua (#6085), Pug (#6087), Woof U (#6088) and Heart/Paw (#6090)

And...a "little aloha" card...who couldn't use some aloha?

Stamps used:  Pineapple (#6067), Girl and Hibiscus stamps are from "Aloha" cling set (CL-17) and "Little Aloha" (SC-15)

Just In Case

I always thought it would be a good idea to keep a bunch of pre-stamped things around "just in case".  I hate when I want to send something out and I have to rush to create something...or I need a thank you card and I have 5 stamped birthday cards...or even worse, when I have to send out something store-bought (gasp!).  With that in mind I made a a few "just in case" things on plain white stickers:

Then when the need arises....just stick and go!!

A Gift of Gift Tags

Hey there...hope you're all enjoying your weekend!!  I picked up a pack of tiny gift tags from Ben Franklin (they measure 1-5/8" x 3-1/4") and they've been sitting on my craft table for awhile.  I was in the middle of another project (the baskets in the previous post) but these tags were calling me and I HAD to stop and make these.  It all came together in a few minutes since I used just 2 stamps (with no coloring...some cutting though).

The 2 stamps I used were #5032 (Solid Flower 1) and the gold sashiko design is from MC-25 (Hi There).  I cut out the flower and glued down just the center (pulling the petals up) to add some dimension.  As you can see below,  I used a small piece of tape on the back to hold the ribbon down on each tag (just a smaaaallll piece so that when it's removed it won't tear the tag and the recipient can write their message on the back).  Then I put a foam dot on top of the tape and placed each tag onto the card...that way the gift actually becomes the card and the recipient can remove each tag to use :)

Magnetic Bookmarks

Made a bunch of magnetic bookmarks using the smaller of the 2 stamps from our new cling set.

The bookmarks magnetically clip onto the page of your book (front side):

...and back side:

To make the bookmark, the size really doesn't matter.  I used a jumbo Marvy scallop rectangle punch for my base and then folded it in half.  I layered a couple of different contrasting papers and glued the front view on one square and the back view on another square. (I tried to line up the back and front views when I put the 2 squares back to back).  You'll also need a couple of magnetic disks (Make sure you have a positive and a negtive).

Flip the 2 square pieces over and stick one magnet to each (making sure that the magnet will be on the side that's closest to the cut edge of the base piece).

Then put a piece of double stick tape over each magnet:

Flip over and attach to the base piece.  For each square piece, glue down the side that's closest to the fold.  Remove backing from double stick tape to hold magnet in place.  Then simply fold the bookmark over your page and the magnets will hold it in place.

Here's a bookmark using the larger of the 2 stamps.  This time I cut a long piece of card stock and folded it so that the bookmark would fold over the top of the book:

...and here's the back view:

While I was at it...I thought it would also make a cute gift tag:

ok...hope your weekend was a good one...have a really great week!!!

Tags!!

Made a bunch of tags using my "flower girls" stamps.  The tags were made with the small cling (SC) sized stamps...and the card (which you'll see further down in the post) was made using the larger stamps from CL-16 (Flower Girls):

This tag is using SC-9 (Iris)

SC-10 (Peony)

SC-11 (Sakura)

SC-12 (Bamboo)

SC-8 (Mum)

Above is the card I used to house the tags...and below is a look at the inside:

I made a couple of clear pockets so you can still see each tag.

Kaki Mochi

Back with some samples using our new set...MC-44 (Kaki Mochi):

Other stamps used:  "Max" stamp is from MC-2 (Friend to Friend)
"Just for you" stamp is from CL-10 (Flowers)

For the favor bag, I cut each kaki mochi stamp separately and placed it on my acrylic block in a random pattern:

Here's a tag using the stamps as they come in the package, as a border design:

Whichever way you choose to use it, hope you have fun with it!!
