A Little Thank You...

Some simple instructions for a simple gift...

Cut two pieces...the back piece will measure 1-3/4" x 5-1/2".  The front piece will measure 2-1/2" x 4-1/8".  On the front piece, score 3/8" away from the two side edges and the bottom edge.  Cut each of the bottom corners diagonally...right where the two scored lines meet.

Fold each of the three tabs up and make sharp creases.

Flip from piece over and glue onto bottom piece, matching sides and bottom edges.

On the samples, I used watercolors to make a background and stamped with cling stamp "Extra-Special" (#SC-14), and finished it all off with some twine.

Inkjoy mini pens fit perfectly into this little holder :)

Arigato Favor

A little thank you...kimono girl will "bow" with thanks...

All stamps are from our cling set, Arigato (CL-20).  Start with a small box of candy.  Cut 2 images each of girl and sakura (one b&w image and one colored image).  Stamp and cut out one "arigato" sentiment. Cut out a contrasting strip of paper (Width is approx. 7/8"...for length, wrap paper around box and add 1/2".  Score at 1/4" from each short edge).  Also, cut a strip of acetate (1/8" x 1") and sandwich between b& w and colored images of girl (photo shows pieces already glued together).  Attach bottom of the acetate piece to the b&w image of the sakura:

Wrap candy box with paper.  Wrap contrasting strip of paper around box and add double stick tape above and below scored line at each edge (placement of double stick tape indicated by arrows).  Center sentiment on contrasting strip of paper:

Remove backing from 4 strips of double stick tape, adhere so that contrasting strip is attached to box and forms a small tab at the top of the box:

Glue b&w sakura behind the tab:

Glue colored sakura in front of tab and onto b&w image of sakura, matching edges.  Finish off with a gold bow.  If you move the box gently, the girl will appear to be bowing :)

Arigato Trifold

Hi there...just a quick post today to get you started on a crafty weekend!!  This card is basically just a simple trifold with a magnetic closure:

Lift the magnetic tab to reveal a hidden message:

Simply place one "+" and one "-" magnet as shown.  One magnet will be placed on the card cover, which will be covered by the "arigato" greeting...and the other magnet is placed on the underside of the purple piece behind the kimono girl.  Make sure you line up the magnets to match when all the pieces are in place.

This is how it looks with the card closed:

You can make it to any size card you want...from a regular greeting card to a small gift card (as shown).

"Screen"Card

I never did get to ink up this trio of girls from my last release...they're all mini stamps (#6033, 6034 and 6035) Kokeshi Doll 1, 2 and 3...along with # 6044 (Small Sakura) and Arigato sentiment from CL-11 (Keiko Set):

I made the card resemble a Japanese screen...

Start with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of card stock...score at 1-1/4" intervals and fan fold...the finished size of the folded card is 1-1/4" x 3-3/4"...tiny!!   I also made a quick vellum envelope to hold the card:

To make the envelope, cut a 3" x 8-1/2" piece of vellum...Fold in half, then score each long edge at 1/4"...cut away the tabs on one side of the center fold and fold remaining tabs along scored line.    Use double stick tape to seal.
