Just stopping by to share the make 'n take project we did at Ben Franklin this past Saturday. The theme of the paper party was graduation, so here is a little gift card we made:
You can download a pattern by clicking here. You lift up the mortar board and it's a pop-up card. Here's a look at the inside:
There are 2 pattern pieces. The first is for the cap...just cut one of those. For the second pattern piece...cut 2 pieces in black, then cut one piece on a fold to form the gift card (the red piece). Punch a 1/8" hole in the center of one of the mortar board pieces. Then insert the two ends of the tassel* through the hole and tape down in the back. Insert a brad through the same hole and fasten.
* To make the tassel, I used a "rattail" cord. I wrapped the cord around a 1-1/2" strip of cardstock 4 times, then removed it to get a "tassel" with loops at both ends. I threaded a 4" piece through the top loops and wrapped gold jewelry wire around the tassle...then I simply cut the bottom loops. Hope that makes sense...click on the picture to get a closer look at what I did.
Next I made 2 cuts through the fold of the card, and pushed the cut section in (as shown below):
Use double stick tape to adhere the 2 black mortar board pieces to the outside of the card. Then place a strip of tape along the top edge of the cap...this is where you'll position the mortar board onto the cap:
Now decorate the inside by taping down your image to the little tab you cut out in the card. You can use this card to attach to a gift...or punch a hole and tie onto a lei or a rose (as shown below):
Stamps used: #1401 (Graduation Monkey) and #2013 (Happy Graduation).

Playing Catch Up
Hi!! Sorry I haven't been very good at posting recently...but things have been a little hectic around here!! The good news is...the reason I've been busy is because the Ben Franklin stores have picked up my new, larger-sized stamps!!! Yay!!! If they're not already on the shelves, they are making their way to all the stores at this moment!! I'm especially excited about the neighbor islands because this is the first time my new stamps will be available for sale there!! They will be at the Hilo, Kamuela, Wailuku and Lihue stores, as well as the 4 stores on Oahu and Crafts in the City (in downtown Honolulu). Please stop by and take a look when you get the chance!!!
I've also been catching up on some gifts and thank you's I've been meaning to send out. These are all gift card holders...click here for the "how-to's".
Here's a look at the inside (the gift card slides up as you open the card):
I also did a make 'n take this past Saturday at the Enchanted Lake Ben Franklin...I'll share with you what we did tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Hi There...
It's been a while...can't believe a whole week has gone by since my last post. A little late, but I hope you all had a very happy Easter!! Scroll down to the bottom of this post to see one last Easter goody I received from Carole ( a good idea to remember for next year!!!).
Here's a little project for today:
Very simple!! All you need is shown in the photo below:
2 scalloped circles (punched with a pink Marvy punch), a silk flower and a strip of coordinating paper (3/8" x 1-1/2"...fold this strip in half and apply double stick tape). To make the card...match up the two circles. Use a glue dot to attach the flower to the front of the card. Use the strip of coordinating paper as the "fold" of the card...attaching one half to the back and one half to the front (over the flower stem).
Stamp used: #C105 (Maddy & Tweet).
Now, here's a look at that cute Easter treat (Thanks, Carole!!!):
ok...that's it for now!! Thanks for stopping by!!!

The Many Faces of Baxter
Just playing around with my Baxter stamp (#C118) today, and ended up using it in as many ways as I could think of...just by cutting out what I wanted. Here's what I mean...this first card is Baxter the way he appears on the stamp (with balloons and flowers):
This next card has Baxter with just the balloons:
Baxter with just the flowers:
And just Baxter (outside):
Inside:
By using just the parts you want, you can use Baxter for a lot of different occasions!!
If you're in the Waipio area tomorrow, I'll be doing a make 'n take at Scrapbook Heaven from 11:00 - 12:00. Here's a look at what we'll be making...just a last-minute little basket filler:
Thanks for stopping by!! If you have the day off today...enjoy!!!

J's Knicknacks Make 'n Take
Easter is about a week away. If you're still thinking about what to make...maybe this make 'n take project we did at J's Knicknacks this morning will inspire you. They're little egg cartons:
Here's what the inside looks like:
Click here to download a pattern. There are 2 pattern pieces...1 box pattern and 1 insert pattern. Simply cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines.
The box piece has six 1/4" tabs...place double stick tape along each of these tabs, and also in 2 strips on the bottom of the box between the marked spots (as shown above).
For the insert piece...place double stick tape along the 2 side tabs. There are 6 dots on the insert pattern...I centered each dot in a Marvy (green) 3/4" circle punch, and punched out 6 circles.
For the next step...remove the backing paper from the 2 strips of double stick tape on the bottom of the box (this tape will hold your easter eggs in place...you can see the tape through the punched holes if you look closely). Remove the backing paper from the 2 tabs on the insert piece and stick to the sides of the box as shown above. Now you can proceed with putting the rest of the box together by following the fold lines. Put a chocolate egg into each punched circle and press down on the double stick tape. Here are more examples:
Stamp used: #B120 (Easter Rabbit)
Stamps used: #B121 (Easter Sam)
Stamp used: #A119 (Rainy Days).
** Just a note...I stamped each of the images on white cardstock and colored in the background**
Enjoy your weekend!!!!

Tulip Favors
I thought a bunch of tulips would make a nice centerpiece for an Easter table...of course, ours would have to be made out of paper...and include some kind of chocolate!!!
Click here to get a pattern. You know the routine, right?...cut on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines:
To make the bag, overlap the two front "petals" (matching the straight edges on the bottom) and glue. Then simply fold the bottom flap up and glue the tab in place (again matching to the straight edge on the bottom). To attach the handle I simply punched a 1/8" hole on each side and tied a ribbon like this:
**Note** You'll have to package your candy in some kind of bag or they'll slip right out of the side!!)
I also added a quick tag by cutting out a (freehand) leaf and stamping with stamp #1215 (Happy Easter!). Wouldn't it also be cute to personalize each one with a name? Now just stamp away and decorate however you want!!!
Stamps used: #1203 (Chick on Egg), #5006 (Daisy) and #5002 (Flower)
Stamps used: #1204 (Chick With Tulip), #5006 (Daisy) and #5004 (Rosebud).
Stamps used: #1201 (Easter Bunny), #5002 (Flower) and #5004 (Rosebud). Thanks for stopping by!!
