Valentine Hugs

Hope you all had a nice, relaxing weekend and are ready for a new work week!!! I'm popping in today to announce that Shari is the winner of our Girl's Day giveaway!!! Congratulations Shari!!! Please email your address to me and I will send your stamps to you!! To my past couple of winners...I've been running a bit behind schedule, so your stamps will be going out this week....thanks for your patience!!! And thank you to all of you who played along in our giveaways...hope you had fun seeing my new designs!!! I'll leave you with one more heart window box (a link to a pattern is in the article below)...this one's for Valentine's Day. I filled it with Hershey's "Hugs" since it matches the sentiment on the box:

Have a good night!!!

One Final Giveaway

Hey...thanks for checking back!! Are you ready for one final giveaway? Here are some samples I made using stamps from today's giveaway. Those of you in Hawaii know that Girl's Day is on March 3rd every year...here's an idea for those special girls in your life:

If you'd like a pattern for this box click here. I thought it would be cool to have a heart-shaped window that bent down the side. To make that window, cut a piece of 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" acetate and make a scored line 1" away from any edge. Fold along the scored line and use double stick tape to attach it to the heart shaped window...see how the fold in the acetate matches up to the fold in the box? Here's another view:

I'll make another box later for Valentine's. The next picture is of the same box without the window cut out...it's using my new "Kokeshi Doll" stamp:

And now for a card. I know this card doesn't really match with the other girl's day stamps...but, it's the last in my new designs and I thought I'd stick it into this final giveaway. This card features good ol' Buddy (he always seems to be eating, doesn't he?):

ok....here's what's up for grabs:

If you had to balance your diet...what kind of cookie would be in each hand? Leave me a comment by midnight on Saturday, January 23...I'll pick one winner at random and announce their name on Sunday, January 24. For me...it would definitely be a chocolate chip cookie in each hand!! Yum!!

Sweetpea

Before I introduce Sweetpea...I would like to announce the winner of my "Tweetheart" giveaway...it's Nicky W!!! Congratulations, Nicky!!! Please email me your address so I can get your stamps to you!!! Thanks also for all your suggestions on how to relax after a crazy day...ahhh I'm much less stressed now!!!

Now on to my next new stamp...Sweetpea, the sweetest skunk you'll ever meet. Sweetpea has had a stinky day...I'm sure at some point we've all had someone close to us whose day just didn't go right. There's not much you can do to help, except maybe send a card to let them know you're thinking about them:

Here's the inside of the card:

and the back:

Here's the giveaway for today:

To win these stamps,...just leave me a comment by midnight on Tuesday, January 19. Did you or someone you know recently have a stinky day? I'll pick one winner at random and announce their name on Wednesday, January 20.

Tweetheart

ETA: Hi! The pattern for this project has been uploaded...please scroll down to get it and to see more samples :)

What a crazy day...I never thought I'd make it on to my computer...but I did promise to post this project by today, so here it is:

It's a cute little mini cupcake favor that's quick 'n easy and can be used for any occasion. I did run into some "technical problems" with the pattern...but, I'll tweak it a little tonight and post it tomorrow.

And here's the giveaway featuring our sweet little bird, "Tweet":

Sorry this post sounds so rushed...leave me a tip (by midnight, Saturday January 16) about your favorite way to calm down after a crazy day...I'll pick one of the entries at random and the winner will get these stamps (check back on Sunday, January 17). Have a great night!!

p.s. I got the mini cupcakes at Whole Foods :)

ETA: If you're checking back to get the pattern for this cupcake holder, please click here. It's very simple to make...simply curl the pattern piece as shown below:

Hold edge in place with double stick tape...there's a dot on the pattern to show how far the ends need to go. If you wrapped the right side over the left, and the pattern doesn't seem to match up...try going left over right (and vice versa). Here are a couple more samples:

Thanks for checking back!!!

Meet Quincy

Hi All!!! Hope you had a very relaxing and enjoyable Sunday!! Thank you to all who entered!! Here's another chance for you to win more stamps!! The next new stamp I'd like to introduce to you is my new koala, Quincy!! I was late in getting this post up today because I was rushing to finish this pattern...click here to get a copy.

Cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines, as shown below:

Here's another box using Quincy sitting down...you can put a bunch of things in his hand. This box can be used for a special Valentine:

Here's a side-view of the box so you can see the sentiments I used to make tags for the boxes:

And here are some shots of the boxes with the lids off...I put some m&m's in this one:

and some chocolate-covered sunflower seeds in this one:
