Floating Angel

Hey there!!  Back to share my first Christmas project of the year...can you believe it's that time already?  Well..let's get going!!!  This project uses our new set MC-34 (You're an Angel)...along with some of our other stamps.  The angel wings, halo and stars are from MC-34...Buddy is from MC-5 (So Sweet)...cloud is from CL-2 (Happy Thoughts) and the greeting is from MC-33 (Merry Christmas).  Here's the pattern.  I don't know if you can really tell from the photo, but this angel appears to be floating above the little stand:

Here are the steps to prepare (l to r, below):  cut a 1/2" x  4" piece of acetate (fold 1" from the top) and apply double stick tape to top and bottom edges...attach acetate piece to back of your angel (with fold close to the top of the head)...apply half a foam dot to the wings and fold both wings back a little to give more dimension...attach wings to angel.

Cut pattern along solid lines and fold along dotted lines...cut a slit as indicated by bold solid line.  Apply double stick tape to the 1/4" tab and attach as shown below, left.  Insert acetate piece into the slot (I removed the angel so you can see better).  Before taping the top tab down..adjust the acetate piece according to the weight of your image...when you get your image positioned at the right height...tape down the acetate and the top flap (below, right).  Decorate with ribbon and greeting.

I love to create stamps that can work beyond the holidays:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!!!

Halloween Night

Here's the last of our new Halloween clings...it's called Halloween Night (MC-28).  Click here for a very simple pattern to make this treat bag:

Here's a view from the side.  To close the bag, I used double stick tape to hold the top edges together, then ran it through my paper crimper...punched a hole and tied a ribbon.

You can even use the owl after Halloween...just pair him up with other stamps...2 mushroom stamps are from CL-2 (Happy Thoughts) and flower stamp is #B104 (Flower Border).

Pumpkin Kisses

Made a bunch of Pumpkin Kisses using the pumpkin face stamp from our new cling set, MC-27 (Pumpkin Kitty).  They're tiny, but you can make a whole bunch of these in one night in front of the T.V.

Cut 3-1/2" square pieces of orange tissue paper and stamp your pumpkin face like this:

Then simply wrap the tissue around your kiss and tie with a ribbon.  I haven't gotten around to using MC-28 (Halloween Night) yet...but, here's a card I received from Lianne at Cute Stuff using those stamps to make this adorable card:

Hope you have time to sneak in a little stamping tonight!!!

These stamps are from our new Halloween cling set, Happy Trick or Treating (MC-29)

It's Halloween Time!!

Hello There!!  Seems like summer is barely over and our attention is turning once again to the holidays.  This year we've come out with 4 fun new cling stamp sets for Halloween.  Before I show you the new sets, I want to share a little project using our new Pumpkin Kitty set:

I never can seem to find the right sized bag for the projects I have in mind, so here's a simple pattern.  Just cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines.  Stamp your greeting on the center panel (mini pumpkin is from MC-29-Happy Trick or Treating):

Flip piece over and apply double stick tape to the backside as shown:

Bring side edges together and tape to form center back...then fold small bottom tabs in, folding large tab last and adhere.  I used a Marvy (pink) scalloped oval punch to make the top flap (folded in half as shown):

Glue half the scalloped oval to the back top edge of the bag, and hold shut with a piece of velcro:

Now....here are our four new sets:

I'll be back tomorrow with more Halloween ideas!!

You and Me Time

Can you believe it's already August?  Time sure flies...sometimes you have to slow down and get together with a good friend over a cup of tea...that was the idea behind this card.  I combined the pattern from CL-8 (Friends) with a couple of our new cling sets (MC-24-Tea Time and MC-25-Hi There) to make this card that fits into a legal size envelope:

Sakura branch and flower stamps are from CL-11 (Keiko Cling Set).  Here are some other super cute creations using MC-24 (Tea Time)...love the colors and movement on this card by Cheryl...and this adorable teabag holder from Patti!!  Super cute!!!  Sure puts you in the stamping mood!!!!!
