Feeling Wishy Washy

When I started working on a project today, I knew I wanted to use my trio of mouse stamps along with the trio of word stamps "Be Happy", "Have Fun" and "Laugh Out Loud". I also knew I wanted to punch out circles and glue them onto an acetate backing so they would look like they're floating in air. I just couldn't decide on a project...first I did a gift box/container:

But, that turned out a little too big...I wouldn't be able to scan the pattern on my scanner...so then I thought...maybe a smaller box with the punch outs going around the container instead of up one side:

oooh...maybe I could use it as a candle holder!!! (Please use with battery operated candles ONLY!!!). If you want the pattern for this box...click here. Uhhh...maybe gift cards!!!

In the end, I couldn't decide...so I just posted all of them!!

Stamps used: #1101 (Mouse on Balloon), #1102 (Mouse With Rose), #1103 (Happy Mouse), #5048 (Be Happy), #5049 (Have Fun), #5055 (Laugh Out Loud) and #5030 (Scattered Flowers). Thanks for stopping by!!!

Happily Ever After

I picked up this frame at Ben Franklin a little while ago...it's sold as a wedding placecard, but I decided to make it into a picture frame:

I don't know if you can really see it, but I used Stickles to glitter-up the bride...from her tiara, down to her shoes!!! The flowers are from All Natural Accents. Now that I've made it, I realize that I don't know anyone getting married soon!! If you can make use of this frame please leave me a comment by midnight tomorrow, July 24 and I'll pick one person to get this frame. (FYI...it's a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" frame.)

Stamps used: #B107 (Ever After), #C102 (Wedded Bliss) and #5004 (Rosebud).

Stopping By To Say Hi

Just a quick post today to say Hi!!

I cut out just the top part of Maddy (from the Maddy & Pip stamp) and glued it down on the bottom (under the flowers) and put a pop dot under her head to make it look like she's popping out of the flowers. I also hung a funky flower from a jump ring.

Stamps used: #6004 (Funky Flower), #B124 (Just Me) and #C104 (Maddy & Pip).

Hope you're all having a really good summer...isn't it just flying by?

One More Cupcake

While I'm on a cupcake kick....thought I'd make a quick cupcake card:

I used a 3-1/2" x 6-1/2" cardstock, crimped and scored at 2" and 5"...topped with a swirl of icing cut out of "Sprinkles" paper (from Doodlebug) and closed with velcro. Super simple!! Wouldn't this be cute as a birthday party invitation? Stamps used: #B102 (Max With Cupcake) and #A105 (It's Your Birthday).

I also wanted to share this card from Joni:

Isn't that just the cutest? The card hinges on the top to reveal a message inside!! So clever!! Thanks, Joni!!!

Hope to find some stamping time soon...until then!!!

A Cupcake Favor

Hope you all had a very Happy 4th of July!! I'm still working on my pile of scrap paper and came up with a remake of a favor idea I had previously posted. My original project was for a little purse to hold one of those chocolate nuggets. I thought it might be cute to take that same idea, but make it into a cupcake purse like this:

There's a VERY simple pattern that you can download here. Cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. Here's a shot of the pieces:

As you can see, I ran the rectangular piece through a crimper so that it looks like a baking cup. I used double stick tape to attach the ribbon handle along the top crease. I also glued the "frosting" to the top flap of the purse. Velcro was used to keep the purse flap closed. I topped the whole thing off with stamp #4010 (Cherries). Here's a view from the side so you can see the candy taped to the bottom:

The pattern that I am providing makes the pink cupcake purse...I played around with the height of the pattern to make the blue and lavender purses. Hope you can give this one a try...it's super fast and easy!!
