Happy Monday to all!!! We'll get a good start to this new week by announcing the 2 winners of our giveaway. The first one is Sweet Craf-tea Chick (isn't that a cute name?) and the second is our international winner (all the way from Belgium), Saskia!!! Ladies, please send me an email (dandelion.designs@hawaiiantel.net) with your addresses and I'll get these stamps out to you!!!
Over the weekend I did at make 'n take at Cute Stuff...here's the project we did:
It's a little slide box with a shaker top. To get a pattern for this box, please click here. Cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. (I used a blue Marvy oval punch to make the cut out.)
Using double stick tape, adhere a 2" x 2-1/2" piece of acetate to the back of the oval window (as shown above, left)...then, cut thin strips of double stick foam tape and place over acetate piece (right, above). Next, stamp a sentiment on a contrasting paper and punch out with a Marvy (blue) oval punch. Position and glue as shown (below, left). Make sure your sentiment is centered in the window when you fold it up as shown below, right.
Now you can remove the backing paper from the foam tape...sprinkle some confetti/glitter right over the sentiment (keeping the edges free of confetti)...carefully fold and position frame right over sentiment...press down on the foam tape to adhere. Then you just have to decorate your box top...I used a Marvy (blue) oval punch and a (pink) scalloped oval punch to form the frame.
To make the drawer portion of the box, simply apply double stick tape on each of the 4 tabs and fold box together along dotted lines.
I used a 1/8" hole punch to make a hole on one of the sides. Cut a 6" piece of ribbon, fold in half and tie a knot as shown below:
Thread the loop end of the ribbon through the punched hole (from the inside out):
Here are more samples using Ping & Pong:

At christmas time, I like to make cinnamon spiced pecans and put them in decorative jars for friends and family. My mother and I also make peanut butter fudge, divinity, pecan brittle, and chocolate fudge and make little treat containers also as gifts to our family and friends. It is a traditional thing that she and I have done for several years.
Thanks for the template for the slider box and the new stamps are so cute, I would love to win them!

I also make a quick, foolproof fudge and a spicy candied popcorn that everyone seems to enjoy. Thanks for sharing your fabulous creations and templates.
Cute project for the m&t. You always have the sweetest ideas.
Hi Jean,

Hi Jean...Over the holidays, I tend to make the good ol' party mix or peanut butter party mix with animal cookies in it. There are times when I mix in M&M's inside to make the mix colorful.
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm gonna try and make some.

I enjoy making chocolate no bake cookies, they are made with peanut butter, oats, other ingredients, but the best of all is chocolate. I place them in celephane bags and then add a decorative top. My friends love to receive them but,I love giving them to all of them.
Thanks for the opportunity to win these great stamps.
I like to give out chocolate-Lindt truffles, Hershey Kisses, etc. I also like to make s'mores kits for my children's teachers.
we always make a big batch of Crockpot Candy...it's such an easy project. Thanks for the template and instructions...and also for the chance to win!
I just love the little turtle with the cookies on his back! I guess I will probably make "snowball" cookies this year (especially for Lianne!). They are ono but a little messy to eat.
P.S. That slider box with shaker sure is fun. Thanks
Jean-
Living away from home I love to make the furikake chex mix and of course my mom's chocolate chip cookies for christmas....love the new stamps....TFS
At the holiday times I make butterscotch cookies and others that my mom and granny would make. The box is great idea for sharing the sweets during the holidays. Have a wonderful week!!

I usually do a butter melting moment cookie with lots of powderd sugar, since we cannot get real snow I will go with the sweet kind.
Hello! I'm not a much of a baker, but I'm sure I can find something to fill those super cute slider boxes! Thanks for a chance to win them!
This holiday season I'll be giving away sweet Chex mix and Chinese Pretzels. Every year my family looks forward for these treats! These stamps are super cute and I love the little slider box. This could make great favors for a Christmas party!
Hi Jean,
Your slider box is so cute - perfect with your new Christmas stamps! I like to make chocolate dipped Oreo cookies and Pretzels. Super simple, and it leaves me more time to craft!
I like to make so many handmade goodies (food & craft) during the holiday season and give as gifts as I think it makes it so much more personal. For my food goodies I always wrap them up in a box with ribbon or in celephane with ribbon as I think the packaging makes it all the more exciting for people to receive.
My favourite goodies to make are Rocky Road (melted chocolate mixed with cherries, nuts, coconut and mashmellows and then let to set) or cookies with one half dipped in melted chocolate and then allowed to set and re-dip in chocolate again to make the chocolate side nice and thick! and then another fav is Melting Moments filled with passionfruit cream (if you don't have melting moments over there, they are like a shortbread biscuit put together with passionfruit cream in the middle). Yum yum. Amanda
Christmas cookies and brownies are a favorite of my friends to receive. Thanks for a chance to win.
I enjoy making Snickerdoodles and cutout Christmas sugar cookies. My grandma made the best molasses cookies and I wanna try to make those this year. Yum Yum! Thanks for a chance to win. :D
For the holidays I like to make muddie buddies and chocolate pretzel sticks with sprinkles. The kids love this. The cute stamps will help make great tags to package them and give away too. Love the little animals and sayings!
