Diaper Bag Card

Hope you're all having a good Sunday and ready to start a new week!! Recently I've had babies on my mind since my good friend, Sandra (and her husband), are awaiting the arrival of their baby!! Here's a card I made in the shape of a diaper bag. The finished size of the card is 3" x 5". I glued some stripey paper on the two sides and then rounded all the corners. The middle dotted paper was glued on the sides and bottom, but I left the top edge unglued so I could slip a little note inside. Then I used double stick tape to attach the ribbon border/handle. I used a Marvy (blue) tag punch to make the card insert shown below:

Stamps used: #2024 (Duckies) and #6002 (Sweet Baby). While I was on a stamping roll, I thought I'd try to use the same idea to make a baby shower favor:

I used some Ghirardelli chocolate squares for this favor. It's a little different from the card in that I added a 1/4" section on the bottom to make it wide enough to hold the candy. Cut a piece of paper 4-1/4 " tall x 3-1/2" wide... then make a score line 2" from the top and then another score line 1/4" away from the first. Use double stick tape to keep the candy in place.

Thanks for stopping by!!

I've been faithfully following your posts for quite awhile now and use your ideas for just about every occasion. They are cute, innovative and original. My friends think I'm a craft genius but I keep telling them to check the Dandelion lady out....she's the real brain behind my handiwork. But I've never thanked you for sharing your creations with the public. I've attempted several time to send my comment but this Google/blogger keeps rejecting my password even tho I've attempted to correct it. Anyway, thanks for all the great ideas...you're making me look GOOD!! yum@hawaii.rr.com

Hi Jean. Another cute idea. I especially like the one with the giraffe - must be the colors you used. Thanks for sharing.
