Cherish Simple Joys

Hi!! Finally made it to post a card!! I've had an idea floating around in my head about using bits and pieces of things suspended on ribbons...and this is what I came up with. I used 3 different stamps: #C104 (Maddy & Pip), #B104 (Flower Border) and #6005 (Cherish). Next, I used different punches to cut out just parts of each stamp, then attached a ribbon to each piece.

The card I used measures approximately 3-1/2" x 5"...I cut 2 pieces of printed cardstock into 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" pieces. I glued the first piece (dotted paper) onto the card. For the second piece (floral paper), I cut out the center... leaving a 1/2" border all around. Then, I simply taped each ribbon to the back of the frame (see below for picture) and mounted the whole thing on pop dots. (I even put pop dots behind each of the punched pieces to keep it more stable).

Paper used: Scenic Route - Canal Street Floral. Happy stamping!!!

I just love your designs. Can you tell me how you cut your images out? I'm horrible at cutting and I keep practicing, but don't seem to be getting any better. Should I use a scissor or a craft knife? Keep up the great work!

Jean -
Thats another clever design you came up with! I like how the images are all floating around the card - plus I love the nice soft colors of this card!

Gosh! I can't believe how your cards can even look good when you expose the backs! Thanks for the reminder to "cherish simple joys"!
