I was over at Crafts in the City yesterday to help celebrate their 1 year anniversary with a make 'n take. For those of you who have not discovered this fun store in the middle of downtown Honolulu...take a walk down Bishop Street one day and take a look...Chris and the gang are always so friendly and helpful!!! Anyway, I promised I would get the pattern for this project posted by today...I think I made it just in the nick of time!!! Here it is:
It's a tag and candy holder in one...if you look closely, there's also a little pocket that you can tuck a note into. Click here to get a pattern for this tag. As usual, cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. As you can see below, there are 2 pattern pieces. The piece on the left (below) holds the candy (we'll call it the "pocket")...fold up along the dotted line. The piece on the right (below) is the actual tag...fold up on 2 fold lines, and apply double stick tape on the bottom tab.
For the pocket piece...fold back on 2 fold lines on each side (as shown on left, below). Next, flip the piece over and apply double stick tape to both tabs (as shown on right, below). For the next step, leave the pocket piece with the tabs facing up.
Fit the tag piece into the pocket piece, matching the bottom edges and centering it... adhere.
Pull tag piece back and put a piece of Ghirardelli chocolate into the pocket...wrap the tabs around the chocolate and remove the backing tape. Fold the tag piece back up and adhere.
Here's a view of it from the front:
To finish it up...just round the corners of the tag...punch a 1/16" hole and thread a cord through it. Decorate with your stamped image (on a pop dot) and add notes and other fun stuff in your pocket.
Stamps used: #922 (Merry Christmas), #923 (Happy Holidays), #A111 (Snowflake Buddy), #A114 (Petey With Present) and #C111 (Snowman Hi).
Hope you get a chance to try this!! Thanks for stopping by today!!!
This was a really cute tag Jean! I have to go hunting for that yummy candy.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, Jean that tag is way too cute! I'm glad that I bought lots of your stamps 'cuz I gotta try to make those tags. I'm going back to BFC to look for the monkey with the snowflake. Your stamps have been helpful in making tags from my leftover Xmas cardstock pieces.
ReplyDeleteThese are ADORABLE!!! I bought a package at Michael's yeah and I used ta coupon, well I had two on the way home. When I got home I took them out of the bag and put them on the table, well I went to take the package upstairs and they were all gone. My family loved them!! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful idea. Look I wanted to remind ya about the Rusty Pickle Blog Hop today, I will be giving away an I-Top on the 18th..so Please pass along the word. Thanks, Dawn Gallop
