Photo Stands

Funny how ideas come to you sometimes...last night I actually dreamt that I was making something...and as soon as I woke up this morning, I started working on this photo stand. (Is it sad that I dream about stamping?) Anyway, I got sidetracked along the way...but, I'm finally ready to share it with you!! Click here to download a pattern.



You know the routine...cut along the solid lines and fold along the dotted lines. The photo above shows how you should fold the card. That's how easy it is...you're almost done!!! You see where the fold looks like a capital "M"? All you need to do is glue/fasten the 2 "peaks" together...only at the 2 ends though, the middle portion needs to stay unglued...that's where you'll slip the photo in. (you can use glue, brads, ribbons...whatever you want). Then glue down that last little flap to the back of the stand. Here's a side-view:



This wedding stand is fastened on one side with glue, and the other side with a brad. the next example is glued on one side and I punched a hole and tied ribbons to fasten the other side.


I started to make a mini scrapbook page to slip into another stand...but, wasn't happy with the way it turned out. Maybe I'll try again for a post tomorrow. I am also very behind in sharing some cards that I've been receiving with you...hopefully, I can do that tomorrow too!!!
