Remake #2
While I'm on my gift card kick...I decided to remake a card originally posted on September 28. You can take a look at the card and its directions by clicking here. To make this card into a gift card holder, follow the same directions (but don't stamp anything on the insert piece). Pull the string until the insert card is out as far as it will go. Tape your gift card so that the top edge of the insert and the top edge of the gift card are aligned. Then cut off any part of the insert piece that is exposed (I used a yellow highlighter to mark the pieces that should be cut off):
Now, when you pull the string just the gift card will rise up:
OK...I think I'm done with my remakes for now!! Tomorrow's Halloween!!!

A Remake and RAK
Gift cards are a great present for Christmas time...it saves the giver some time and the receiver can get what they want. I was thinking of ways to give a gift card and thought about doing a remake of a card I originally posted on July 13. You can take a look at the card and see the instructions by clicking here. To make this gift card holder, I followed the same procedure...I just changed the dimensions of the card. The CARD measures 4" x 12". I made scored lines at 3-1/4", 6-1/2" and 9-1/4"" from the right edge of the card. The POCKET piece measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/2"...make a 1/4" score line along the 2 short ends and along 1 long edge.
Instead of stamping a greeting, tape your gift card on...then when you open the card, your gift card will slide up!!!
I'll show you another remake tomorrow!! I also wanted to share an RAK I received from Denise:
What a total surprise this was!!! So thoughtful and generous!!! You can check out Denise's creations on her blog, Denise Loves Stamps. Thank you so much, Denise!!!

A Holiday Treat
Ok...you still have a few more days to make some Halloween treats...click here for a pattern that's really easy to make. (Just cut on the solid lines and fold on the dotted ones). This Halloween treat uses stamps #A109 (Web), #A110 (Halloween Cat) and #B108 (Halloween Scroll). Or, here's a sample using it as a Christmas treat:
Stamps used for this treat are #B103 (Fancy Scroll), #B113 (Merriest Christmas) and #C113 (Sam & Tweet). I also received these 2 really adorable cards from Susy that I wanted to share with you:
Sooo cute!!! Thanks, Susy!!! Hope you all have a great week!!!

Maddy & Snowman Ornament
Hope you're all having a nice, relaxing Sunday!! It's a rainy, dreary day here in Hawaii...I hope this project adds some brightness to your day!! I picked up some of these clear, fillable ornaments at Ben Franklin (they're actually going to be on sale from October 31 - November 7 at Ben Franklin...just in case you're interested!!!). I cut out a piece of clear acetate (traced around the smaller half of the ornament)...then stamped #A113 (Snowflakes) with Staz-On white ink. I stamped, colored and cut stamp #C110 (Maddy & Snowman), and glued it to the piece of acetate. I also used the Staz-On white ink to stamp more snowflakes to the outside of the ornament. This was actually pretty tricky since the ornament is not a flat surface. What I found to work the best is the watch the inside of the ornament as you're stamping the outside (holding the stamp upside down). This way you can see exactly where the stamp is making contact with the ornament). It also helps to use a slow, circular motion when stamping. I added some glitter glue here and there on the snowflakes...then, glued the acetate to the smaller half of the ornament and snapped the two halves together. I finished it off with a bow and a silver cord to hang it up. Here's a closer look:
Oh! One more thing!!! Remember the card I made from the last post? Using the Sam & Max stamp? I had a bunch of circles on my worktable that I had punched out to make that card...they looked like ornaments, so I decided to make them into gift tags:
Stamps used: #918 (Reindeer) and #925 (Holly). Thanks for stopping by!!!

Sam & Max
I finally got a chance to ink up this new stamp (#C109 - Sam & Max). Things have been so hectic that I haven't had much time to play with my stamps. Hopefully, I'll have some time over the weekend to make some things that I can share with you! Well...you know how that sometimes goes...but, I really will try!!! This card has a finished size of 3-1/2" x 5" and the christmas tree paper measures 2-1/4" x 3-1/2". I used a Marvy (blue) circle punch to punch out the circle in the christmas tree paper and for the white cardstock with the greeting (#923 - Happy Holidays and #925 - Holly). I used pop dots to mount the christmas tree panel and also to make Max stand out.
Have a great weekend!!!

A Holiday Treat
Here's a little treat you can make ahead of time and keep on hand for all those last minute Christmas gifts that EVERYONE needs. (You know, for the lady you buy coffee from every morning, the unexpected visitor at the office...). All you need to do is wrap a strip of vellum around a piece of candy, and tie on a quick tag. This tag used stamps #923 (Happy Holidays), #926 (Snowflake Christmas Tree) and #927 (Snowflake Scroll).

Happy Monday!!
Here's a super fast Christmas card using just 2 stamps: #A113 (Snowflakes) and #B112 (Penguin Buddies). The finished size of the card is 3" x 3", and I used pink and green for a little brighter look than the traditional Christmas red and green. By the way...I finally got all my new images uploaded to the website...take a look and be sure to stop by your favorite retailer to pick some up!!!

Christmas Lights
How's about a little bit of Christmas? I figure we have about a month before the hectic holiday season really begins...it's a good time to start stocking up on christmas cards!! This card started with a 2-1/2" x 9" piece of cardstock, folded in half for a finished size of 2-1/2" x 4-1/2". I used a large Marvy (pink) scalloped oval punch to punch out the red printed paper...and I also punched out half a scalloped oval punch from the cover of the card. I used some Crystal Lacquer to accent the christmas lights...here's a closer look:
I'm working on getting all my new images uploaded to the website...I'll post a note when it's all done. Thanks for your patience!!! Have a great weekend!!

Snowflake Buddy
Happy Saturday!! Aren't the weekends great? Well, I'm ready to share the next design in our new Christmas line....Buddy the Monkey with a Snowflake!!! I used a tag rim for the base of this ornament and double stick taped a snowflake punched from a Marvy (blue) snowflake punch. (Of course, I HAD to add the glitter and bling!!!!). Next, I used a pop dot to mount "Snowflake Buddy" in the center of the snowflake. I added more glitter and bling and tied a silver cord (decorated with beads) to the metal rim. Simple!! So, the giveaway for today is the "Snowflake Buddy" stamp along with a set of 3 ornaments pictured below:
Just leave me a comment by midnight on Sunday, October 5 (Hawaii time) telling me about the first time you saw snow (I know this might not be a big deal for people who get snow every winter, but for us here in Hawaii...it's a big deal!!!). I'll pick one winner at random and announce their name on Monday, October 6. The first time I saw snow was when I was 17 years old in Chicago. We went for a conference, and one night when we went down to the lobby of the hotel (at around 10:00 at night) and the snow was lightly falling...all the Hawaii kids ran out on the street to play (the other kids just stared at us from the warm hotel lobby). There really wasn't much snow falling, so we scooped snow off of some parked cars to throw at each other in an impromptu snowball fight!!
Good luck to all!!!
Note: Thanks to the anonymous comment regarding the pattern for "A Sweet Surprise" (4/29/08). Please try downloading it again...it should be working now!!! Thanks for letting me know!!!
The Winner of the Giveaway is...
Yuki!!! Congratulations, Yuki!!! I'll send the 3 stamps out to you...just email me at dandelion.designs@hawaiiantel.net with your address!!!!! I'm glad to hear that a lot of you are getting into the Christmas spirit!!!! I'll be doing another giveaway in just a little bit...so, check back!!!!!
